Hello! I’m Tien Cheng, a budding developer with a passion for data science and machine learning. I’m currently studying in Singapore Polytechnic, where I spend my time working on data science projects, and heading the Operations department of SPAI, an AI Singapore student chapter.

Singapore Polytechnic (2020-Now)⌗

In Singapore Polytechnic, I study Applied AI and Analytics.

SPAI⌗

SPAI was a student interest group that I helped to co-found in my first year in SP. While it started out as just a small student interest group for computing students, it has since grown into a campus-wide student chapter. As the head of the operations department there, I lead teams to organize educational workshops and projects. Through my time in SPAI, I’ve grown to become a better mentor, a more effective leader and made many friends along the way.

Machine Learning Bootcamp (Lead Coordinator & Instructor)⌗

The Machine Learning Bootcamp was the very first large scale event held by SPAI (not counting the Annual General Meeting), aimed at providing participants the knowledge on the basics of Python programming, conducting exploratory data analysis, and machine learning.

Advanced Machine Learning Workshop (Instructor)⌗

The Advanced Machine Learning Workshop was the second workshop style event held by SPAI, aimed at teaching participants more advanced machine learning techniques. Although I was not the head of the this event, I was brought in to help create lesson content and teach the first day of the workshop.
